These included 8 Grand Slam titles which the talented American won. His only unsuccessful major was the French Open where Connors reached 4 semis.

The Swiss maestro has undoubtedly been the most successful of all tennis players in the last 2 decades. Federer has so far won 1242 singles tennis matches in his 2-decade long career. His consistency in all these years and on all playing surfaces makes Roger ranked among the best and most versatile tennis players in history. He holds the record of most Grand Slam titles having won 20 of them. Federer is all set to break Jimmy Connor’s record of most tennis matches won as well as most singles titles won as he stays high on both form and fitness. His longevity and grace on the tennis court place the Swiss maestro in a league of his own. 

Ivan Lendl  

Lendl was one of the best male tennis player in the 1990s. He won 1068 singles tennis matches in his professional career. The Czech star who later became an American citizen won 8 Grand Slam titles that included 3 each at the French Open and US Open along with 2 majors in Australia. Lendl could not win Wimbledon in his singles career though he reached 2 finals there. He is placed 3rd in the all-time list of most tennis matches winners. Lendl was one of the most skilled players on the court. He topped the ATP rankings for 270 weeks during his career.

Rafa still looks strong on the tour and is currently placed at world number 2 among the ATP tennis player. He will most certainly add to his singles tennis matches wins in the subsequent years. Nadal is known as the king of clay for his heroics on the dirt. He will go down as one of the greatest players in the game.
