Del Potro’s career has been vastly affected by the constant wrist injuries in the last decade. He has been forced to pull out of many big tournaments including Grand Slams.

Shoulder injuries are also common among professional tennis players.  This is due to the fact that during many shots like serve, forehand, backhand, etc tennis players put a lot of stress on their shoulders. This makes them vulnerable to face tennis injuries like stress, muscle tear, and even fracture at times. Novak Djokovic has faced the shoulder injury a few times in his illustrious career.

Most professional tennis players face issues in the knee at some point or the other in their careers. Tennis rallies involve a lot of running back and forth. Also while chasing the balls players often have to run, slide, and at times stretch too far. This causes a lot of stress on the knees. At times this stress may get aggravated and thus the players tend to get injured.

Tennis injuries on the knee are one of the most serious ones. They cause players to spend a lot of time off the court. Many times knee injuries require surgeries to get corrected. The players then have to stay away from the court for months. They need a lot of rest and rehabilitation before getting back. Serena Williams, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal have suffered knee tennis injuries often in their careers.
