Martina won 1442 WTA matches in the singles category. She had one of the most sensational careers in the history of the game both in singles and doubles category. Navratilova was one of the women tennis players with the most title wins, having won 167 singles and 177 doubles trophies. The Czech born American player also topped the WTA rankings in both the categories. Her supreme fitness and longevity was a great example for many young players.

If Martina Navratilova rocked the tennis courts in the 1970s and 1980s, her great friend and close rival Chris Evert would not be far behind. The queen of clay won 1309 singles WTA matches thus rankings among the most successful tennis players in the Open Era. Evert was particularly devastating on the red dirt where she won 7 French Open and 3 US Open trophies. Chrissie also remained one of the most consistent female tennis players having created great records like 8 consecutive years of Grand Slam semis and 125 continuous clay-court wins. She is placed 2nd in the winning list of WTA matches among female players.

The Australian starlet dominated her WTA tour before and after the Open Era. Court who leads the list of female tennis players in Grand Slam victories won 1180 singles WTA matches. She was particularly dominant on her home slam at the Australian Open having won 11 titles at Melbourne Park. She won 5 trophies at the US Open and French Open along with 3 at Wimbledon championships. In the year 1970, the great Aussie player won all 4 majors in the same season. Margaret was also one of the most successful women tennis players in the doubles category having won a lot of WTA matches and 18 Grand Slam titles there.

Graf was one of the most successful and versatile female tennis players. She had one of the most illustrious careers in the women’s game, having won 902 singles WTA matches. This places her among the leading match-winners in women’s tennis. Graf created many sensational records in her great career like the Golden Slam of 1988 when she won all 4 majors and an Olympic Gold Medal. She is also the only tennis player to win all 4 majors at least 4 times. This was a remarkable measure of her consistency and all surface mastery.  Graf was without doubt the greatest ever German tennis player. She even helped her country to win important competitions like the Fed Cup and Hopman Cup apart from the Olympics Gold and Silver Medals.
