Yonex VCore Pro 97HD: The Ultimate Power Racquet Review

Yonex VCore is one of a kind of racquet for professional tennis players. The right tennis racquet is unique to each player. Unfortunately, that leaves more questions than answers. However, I’ve also witnessed players who had an extreme spin in their shots, which didn’t generate a lot of power, and they tended towards a Wilson racquet. I’ve seen people gravitate towards a Head and Prince racquet when they’re playing more casual and recreational tennis. My absolute favorite racquet brand is Yonex Vore. I will never purchase any other racquet, and I’ve played with Wilson, Head, and Prince.

So, since I have a borderline obsession with Yonex Vcore, I know a bit more about each of the models, most of which I’ve played with for the majority of my years playing tennis. I’ve included the more popular models, though there are other models too. Plus, each of these is racquet lines, which offer different variations of the primary racquet model. Check out Tennis Express or Tennis Warehouse for details on any racquet. They’ll even state what kind of player each racquet is suited. Let us see some types of racquet.

Yonex Vcore: Some Types Of Models

AeroPro: This is one of the heaviest racquets you will find. Don’t let that discourage you, though. It is perfect for power players and fast swingers!! I’ve played with the AeroPro for four years, and I’m in love with it. After I cracked the rim of my first, I went out and bought two more.

Pure Strike: Another great racquet for power players or fast swingers. However, it’s much lighter than the Yonex, so executing more challenging shots for some reason seems to be more comfortable with this racquet. I played with this racquet the fall tennis season of my freshman year in college, but due to its different length or body style from the AeroPro, which I had played with for so long, I wasn’t performing as well with this one. My brother ended up taking the Pure Strike over to test it out for himself, and he loves it. He’s been hitting with my Pure Strike for two years now and won’t get any other racquet.

Some Other Types

Pure Drive: Right now, I’m obsessed with this racquet! I’ve played with my boyfriend’s Pure Drive racquets, and I’ve fallen in love with it. It has the same body shape and size as the AeroPro, but it is so much lighter. Because I have to generate much power behind my swing, to play at my average speed when playing with it, and then switch to the Yonex Pure Drive, I’m playing at a much quicker pace, and the balls that I hit have much more force behind them, making it easy to run winning shots and serve aces. But, I will say that I’m only in love with the 2012 model. The 2013 and current models seem to be a bit heavier and clunkier.
